The process involves lifting the gums to access and clean the deep pockets formed between the gums and teeth, effectively reducing the pocket depth and preventing further infection.

How is this procedure performed?
Once the gum tissue is frozen, the gum will be pushed back to expose the debris on the root surface.
The calculus debris is removed with scalers and curettes- if tenacious, a water sonic machine can be used.
